Silverseas Dolphin Charter : Key West's & Bahamas' Original Dolphin Tour
Dolphin Trip April14th-19th (Inclusive) Key West Florida
We go out each day for 4-5 hours, learning everything we can about dolphins, their rhythms, their mating dances, how they fish and when they sleep and play. When we make a connection with the dolphins and swim alongside them, it's always by "their invitation."We respect the dolphins as our "Cousins in the Sea."
To ensure the best possible experience for humans and dolphins, we only take a maximum of 6 people on each trip. The rest of the day you will be free to roam the picturesque streets of Key West and enjoy its relaxed, multi-cultural environment, a great back drop for inter-species communication. Those who wish to join us meet in the evenings for dinner to share our dolphin experiences and learn more about these caring and playful beings and the enigma of their high intelligence.

Our boat, the Patty C, has been taking people to observe and swim with dolphins since 1972. The local coastal dolphins, generally Bottlenose or Spotted, are familiar with the boat and feel safe enough on many occasions to give birth around the Patty C. We are moored right next to the Waterfront Market, an organic market where fresh juices and delicious food are available daily to take onto the Boat.
Sylvie Tarnovsky has been taking people to swim and connect with dolphins for the last 23 years having written her thesis on The Effect of Dolphin Sound on Human Emotion. These experiences have encouraged her to develop a radical therapeutic process working with dolphins in oceanic waters.
The $1,500 price for a week on the boat includes all equipment (snorkels, masks, rubber floats in every size) as well as one to one personal guidance when required.
Silverseasdolphins will make hotel arrangements, unless otherwise informed. Prices range from $85-$195 per night, including breakfast, and all the designated hotels are quiet, have private pools, and are within 5 minutes walk from the boat.

THE COVE WINS OSCAR ! ALL EYES TURN TO JAPAN to end its DOLPHIN SLAUGHTER
An Important Message from Ric O'Barry and the Save Japan Dolphins Campaign:
If you watched the Oscars, you saw me and Director Louie Psihoyos accept the Best Documentary awarded by the Academy. Wow, what an incredible moment!
Without your support, this would never have happened. So, even though I wasn't able to thank you all at the podium, I thank you all now.
But this has never been about winning awards. Our job is to end the slaughter and stop the poisoning. And now our work in Japan begins anew. We must focus like a laser on getting The Cove and our message to the Japanese people.
But there are threats on the horizon. Officials in Japan are threatening repercussions against university and community groups that dare to show The Cove. Dolphin-killing fishermen's unions are threatening lawsuits against theaters that show the film. There are even some signs that I could face arrest in Japan, even though I've broken no laws whatsoever.
We wont give in to this pressure. Instead, I am making plans to spend months in Japan with our Save Japan Dolphins Team. I want to be wherever we can find an audience. Our message will particularly resonate with young people, to whom we need to reach out with the dangers of mercury-contaminated dolphin meat and the slaughter of dolphins they love as much as we do.
If you can help me, it will make a world of difference.
Japan has 126 million people; only 600 have seen The Cove so far. Those who saw it were shocked and dismayed that this slaughter was happening in their country. We need to enlist their help and the help of millions of their fellow citizens to stop the Japanese government from issuing 23,000 permits annually to slaughter dolphins. We need to seize on the momentum now to pursue an end to the slaughter, once and for all!
